Dr Max Rogers
I was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, graduated from St. Paul’s School, and then attended The Virginia Military Institute. After graduating VMI, I was commissioned in the United States Marine Corps, was selected as a Naval Aviator, and flew the F/A-18 Hornet Strike Fighter. After seven years of active service, I was honorably discharged as a Captain, and attended medical school at the University Of Alabama School Of Medicine. My internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology were also completed at The University of Alabama, Birmingham. In 1990, my family and I returned to Mobile where I entered private practice, and I have focused predominantly on women’s health issues, minimally invasive surgery and quality improvement in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
One of the most recurring challenges in my practice over the years has been helping women lead a healthy, fit lifestyle while simultaneously experiencing the effects of childbearing, hormonal changes and societal influences. All of these influences have a negative impact on weight management. Indeed, obesity and its’ complications are the leading cause of death in the United States, and have a huge negative impact on our health in this country. Alabama, in particular, is leading the country in morbid obesity. Unfortunately, despite the incredible toll being overweight takes on our society, very little is being done in medicine, or by healthcare providers, to provide assistance, counseling and practical guidelines for overweight patients. This leads to patients seeking fads and gimmicks from television and off the internet that rarely, if ever, lead to effective, long term weight loss success. I am pleased to be able to offer a comprehensive, healthy lifestyle oriented program in Serotonin Plus. I am confident in the program’s safety and its’ success, and have witnessed firsthand the incredibly positive impact it has had on many patient’s lives, not only women, but men as well.
It would be my privilege to talk with you about our program and our team, as well as assist you with achieving your weight loss goals. We look forward to helping you achieve the healthy and fit lifestyle you have always wanted.
In 2000, I enrolled at Faulkner State Community College where I completed my first two years of nursing school. I transferred to the University of South Alabama where I completed my training and received a BSN degree in July 2004. I decided to begin my nursing career at the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center where I worked as a Labor and Delivery nurse. I was then introduced to Dr. Max Rogers, who offered me a job as his nurse in his private Ob-Gyn office. When Dr. Rogers made the decision to open Serotonin Plus Weight Loss, he asked me to be the nurse for the program. I have been working for Dr. Rogers in some capacity for the past five years and have loved every minute of it! I also work at Thomas Hospital in the Birth Center. I currently reside in Daphne, AL with my husband, Nathan and our 4 year old son, Ethan.
Mandy Rogers – Office Manager
I graduated from Hollins University with a BA in Economics/ Business Concentration. While moving around the country with my husband, I had several different jobs including that as a money market trader and an office manager. After settling back home here in Mobile, and having taken twenty years at home to raise five children, I was happy to jump back into the working world at Serotonin Plus Weight Loss with Dr. Max Rogers.
